On February 10 the Pine Rivers Crime Stoppers Volunteer Area Committee hosted a trivia night at Club Pine Rivers. It was a fun-filled night with over 167 attendees raising more than $2300 for the Volunteer Area Committee.

So what is this money used for?

The funds raised are used for monetary rewards that are offered for information given that leads to charges, as well as the production of merchandise that aims to promote Crime Stoppers’ anonymous crime reporting service in the community.

‘Crime Stoppers allows the public to provide anonymous information about criminal activity to the police without being directly involved in the investigation process. You could be eligible for a reward of up to $1000 if the information you report results in an arrest. Every piece of information is important. If you hear or see something, say something.’

There are Crime Stoppers Volunteer Area Committees in Pine Rivers, Caboolture, Redcliffe and more. They are run by volunteers who use their time to promote Crime Stoppers Queensland and raise awareness. They provide valuable crime prevention information to the public.

If you would like to become a volunteer, they would love to have you! Please head to our Volunteer enquiry form and we’ll be in touch.
