Ipswich Volunteer Area Committee...

Ipswich: Located at the western boundary of Brisbane, the City of Ipswich has a current population of 165,000 people and is expected to more than double of the next 15 years. A city that had grown on a traditional blue collar background of mines and railway, it has blossomed into a thriving business and industrial city with a great emphasis on Aerospace, courtesy of the Amberley RAAF base. Ipswich is regarded as the Gateway to the Western Corridor and is recognised as a principal regional centre of South East Queensland. Ipswich is a city where families can work, live and play.
