Gladstone Volunteer Area Committee...

Gladstone: The industrial hub of Central Queensland located on the coast with its large natural harbour being the drawcard for import and export of raw materials for our wide industrial base. The Gladstone Region encompasses some 10,000 sq kms and has a population of approximately 60,000 people a lot of which work within industry on shift rosters. We have the reef and beaches as well as the hinterland to our west. The Gladstone Regions growth is assured with its diverse industrial and business structure whilst still maintaining a lifestyle for families that is the envy of many.
